1.  The Financial Services Authority (FSA)The FSA is the independent watchdog that regulates financial services. It requires us to give you this document. Use this information to decide if our services are right for you.  
 
2.  Whose products do we offer?  
We only offer products from a limited number of insurers for non investment insurance contracts, namely Payment Protection, Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP), Breakdown Insurance and some extended motor warranty policies. Mainly from Ford Credit and Black Horse Motor Finance. If you require clarification please ask us for a list of insurers we offer insurance products from.  
 
3.  What Motor Insurance Products do we offer ?  
Blights Motors do not have the authority to advise you on motor insurance and act merely as an introducer for Ford Insure which is underwritten by Royal and Sun Alliance Insurance plc. For Ford Insure please refer to a brochure or call Ford Insure on 0800 048 0954 for further information.  
 
4.  Who regulates us ? 
Blights Motors is authorised is an appointed representative (AR) of ITC Compliance. Firm Ref No. 313486. Our permitted business is to arrange and advise on insurance products, deal as an agent of insurers, and assist in claims handling on behalf of customers through a number of insurers in relation to this particular contract.You can check this on the FSA's Register by visiting the FSA's website www.fsa.gov.uk/register or by contacting the FSA on 0845 606 1234.  
 
5.   Who Owns Us ?  
Blights Motors is a family owned dealership and has no financial interest in any of the companies providing any of our insurance products.  
 
6.   What personal information is required and how we look after it?  
Your insurance is based upon the information provided to the insurance company and you must ensure that all such information is complete and accurate, and that any facts that may influence the insurer’s decision to accept and pay a valid claim are disclosed.  
Failure to disclose material information may invalidate your insurance cover and could mean that part, or all, of a claim may not be paid.  
 
All personal information about you will be treated as private and confidential (even when you are no longer a customer), except where the disclosure is made at your request, with your consent, in relation to administering your insurance or where law requires us. As part of the FSA’s duties, we may be asked to provide them with access to our customer records in order that they may carry out a review of our activities.  
 
Some or all of the information you supply to us in connection with your insurance proposal will be held on computer and may be passed to other insurance companies for underwriting and claims purposes. Under the Data Protection Act 1998 you have a right of access to see personal information about you that is held in our records, whether electronically or manually. 7.   How much do we charge for our advice given on insurance products ?  
Blights Motors operate a transparent pricing policy with all our insurance products and we do not charge you a fee for advice given on our products or services.  
 
8.   What to do if you have a complaint?  
Please contact us in person and ask to speak to Mr Tim Blight, Partner.

9.   Are we covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)?  
We are covered by the FSCS.  You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our insurance obligations.  This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the first £2,000 and 90% of the remainder of the claim, without any upper limit.
