MG ZS EV is named ‘Dark Horse’ of the Year by Southern Group of Motoring Writers
MG’s first-ever battery electric car continues to receive accolades in the industry
Family-friendly SUV enhances the EV sector by offering exceptional value for money, five-star-rated safety and practical, zero-emissions motoring for all
MG Motor UK is delighted to announce that the first truly affordable, family-friendly electric car, MG ZS EV, has been recognised in the Southern Group of Motoring Writers’ (SGMW) New Year Honours List, being named ‘Dark Horse’ of the Year.
The judging field remarked that they were pleased with the MG ZS EV on first inspection and review. The panel made comment on MG ZS EV: “A real dark horse and game changer. Suddenly there is a very capable and affordable EV contender in a practical and trendy SUV package.”
This latest recognition for MG ZS EV follows in awards recognition for the electric SUV after it was named Medium EV of the Year at the Company Car & Van Awards, announced earlier this week.
Daniel Gregorious, Head of Sales & Marketing at MG Motor UK, said: “Our electric SUV has only been on sale for a few months and is already beginning to attract a string of worthy accolades. MG ZS EV appeals to many drivers as a practical and versatile family car that comes with all the cost-saving and convenience benefits associated with going electric.”
Over just a few months, MG ZS EV has already enjoyed widespread success among the media and buyers alike. The SUV achieved record-breaking sales for the brand, with more than 3,000 customers having placed their orders. Combining the latest battery-electric technology with a family-friendly design in a value-for-money package, MG ZS EV brings zero emissions motoring to a highly affordable price point. Currently, thanks to MG’s latest offer, the ZS EV is available from just £22,495, after the Government’s plug-in car grant and the generous £2,500 MG customer saving have been deducted.
The SGMW release their New Year Honours list every January to recognise remarkable achievement in the automotive industry.BACK
