CONDITIONS OF SALE

Parts Dept.

1.Goods ordered especially cannot be returned for credit.

2. Other goods will only be accepted for credit if returned within 7 days quoting invoice number and will be subject to a 10% rehandling charge.

3. Title and ownership of goods shall only pass to the purchaser when payment has been received in full and cheques cleared.

4. Blights Motors reserves the right to supply non-franchised parts if necessary.

5. Payment for parts must be made upon collection unless the purchaser has an approved creditaccount.

6. Special Order Parts for cash customers must be paid for upon order.

Workshop Dept.

1. Goods/Services to be paid for upon collection/delivery unless the customer has an approved credit account.

2.We reserve the right to withhold any vehicle until payment has been received in full and cheques cleared.

3. Repairs/Work covered by this invoice are guaranteed against defective workmanship for 3 months or 3,000 miles whichever occurs first.

Vehicle Sales Dept.

1. Vehicle supplied to customers to be paid for on collection.

2. Deposits received for vehicle purchases are non-returnable if an order is cancelled by the customer.

3 All used vehicles are guaranteed as shown on the vehicle invoice, customer copy.

4. Any vehicle warranty/guarantee questions to be directed to Blights Motors in the first instance.

Credit Accounts, Terms and Conditions Parts, Workshop, Hire and Forecourt Accounts.

1. Credit will not be granted until an Application Form is fully completed and references are taken up and reviewed.

2. Payment terms are settled by the 14th of the month following the month of purchase for all departments.

3. Interest may be charged at 2% per month on accounts not settled within the terms of payment as in item 2 above, at the discretion of Blights Motors.

4. Periodical reviews will be carried out on account activity. Dormant accounts could be discontinued and accounts may only be reopened on re-application.

5. Failure to comply with terms and conditions will cause the withdrawal of credit facilities and any sums outstanding will become payable immediately.

6. Blights Motors reserve the right to amend credit facility terms and conditions or to withdraw credit facilities at any time, upon contact with the account holder or representative.

Blights Motors Limited is an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No. 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Blights Motors Limited to act as a credit broker, not a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders, and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.

We are a credit broker and not a lender. We can introduce you to a carefully selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. We act on behalf of the lender for this introduction and not as your agent. We are not impartial, and we are not an independent financial advisor.

Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next most suitable offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure a suitable finance agreement for you that enables you to achieve your financial objectives. If you purchase a vehicle, in the majority of cases, we will receive a commission from your lender for introducing you to them which is either a fixed fee, or a fixed percentage of the amount that you borrow. This may be linked to the vehicle model you purchase.

Different lenders pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement; however, you will be contributing towards the commission paid to us with the interest collected on your repayments. Before we propose you to a potential lender, we will inform you of the likely amount of commission we will receive and seek your consent to receive this commission. The exact amount of commission that we will receive will be confirmed prior to you signing your finance agreement.
